北埔冷泉為罕見的碳酸與硫磺共生泉, 且泉水略帶鹹味, 水溫10至20℃間, 水色呈淺黃色, 陽光曝曬後轉褐黃色, 冷泉水質非常特殊, 因此每年夏天的5月至8月, 總會到北埔冷泉報到幾次!
